Austin Christmas Market 2026

Republic Square is inside Austin's downtown metered zone (I-35 to Lamar Boulevard, Lady Bird Lake to 10th Street). There, street meters run Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 6 pm, Wednesday to Friday 8 am to midnight, and Saturday 11 am to midnight; no Sunday hours are listed for the downtown zone. Rates vary by block, so read the posted sign. You can pay by the Park ATX app, which offers two free 15-minute sessions a day, or at pay stations. For the 2025 market the city pointed visitors to this paid parking information and warned that signed no-parking areas are enforced.

Whether or not the Republic Square market returns, the city's Trail of Lights runs in Zilker Metropolitan Park, 2100 Barton Springs Road, from December 4 to December 23, 2026, 6 to 10 pm, according to the City of Austin's events listing. Zilker Park is about a mile and a half southwest of Republic Square in a straight line.

Republic Square sits in the Warehouse District on the west side of downtown, so anywhere in downtown Austin, from the Second Street District to Congress Avenue, is within walking distance. Rainey Street, at the southeast edge of downtown, is a little under a mile away in a straight line.
