About Belleville Christkindlmarkt

Getting There, Parking and More
Parking
Parking downtown is free. As well as street parking, the City of Belleville runs several free lots, which its Downtown Parking Guide map marks around the Public Square: on both sides of East Main Street near High and Jackson Streets, along Church Street, north of the square off Illinois Street (Route 159), and to the west near 2nd and 3rd Streets. The same map shows the market on the east side of Illinois Street at the square, with the trolley stop on East Main Street.

The season opens on Friday, November 27, 2026, with the Optimist Club's Santa Parade downtown at 10 am and the lighting of the Veterans Memorial Fountain at 6 pm. Santa is in his house on the Public Square from November 27 to December 24. Free horse-drawn trolley rides leave from the first block of East Main Street, near the market entrance, on weekends from November 27 to December 20 (plus Thursday, December 17).
