Leavenworth Christmas Village 2026

Link Transit runs fare-free buses in and around Leavenworth. Route 32, the Leavenworth Local, leaves the Willkommen Village Park & Ride behind Safeway on the east end of town about every 30 minutes from 11 am, with the last trip from the park and ride at 6:30 pm, and runs through town to Icicle Road. Route 22 runs fare-free between Wenatchee and Leavenworth seven days a week. Amtrak's Empire Builder stops at Icicle Station outside town once a day in each direction; the Chamber lists Leavenworth Shuttle for rides from the station.

Front Street is closed to cars all year. The city's pay lots open 7 am to 3 am and allow no overnight parking or camping; the Chamber does not list their rates. Weekend lots fill fast in December, so the free Willkommen Park & Ride with the Route 32 shuttle is the easier choice on Saturdays. Cars with a valid ADA placard park free in city street spaces, including metered ones; in lots, ADA stalls carry the normal fee. Street parking is banned from 3 am to 7 am, November 15 to March 15.

Front Street is a pedestrian street. Six indoor public restrooms are open daily: at the Festhalle, in Front Street Park near the Maipole, at 8th and Commercial Streets, in Lions Club Park, at the Glacier lot and at the Willkommen Park & Ride, with portable toilets added nearby in December. The Chamber's parking page lists ADA stalls in most city lots, and placard holders park free on city streets.

The Chamber calls December very busy. Weekend parking fills fast, and on Saturdays traffic management teams work in town from noon to 8 pm. It suggests coming midweek if you can, when parking is easier. The lights stay on daily from 6 am to 11 pm through February, and the Chamber says January and February are quieter, though the Christmastown program itself ends on December 24.

The Christmastown concert series at the Festhalle (1001 Front St) has evening shows, with tickets at the door:

• Merry Christmas From Leavenworth concert: Saturday, December 5, 7 pm, $5.
• The Jewel Tones Motown Christmas show: Saturday, December 12, 8 pm, $15.
• Manuela Horn and Her Slay Belles: Sunday, December 20 and Tuesday, December 22, 5 to 6:30 pm, $15 (kids 12 and under $5).

Downtown Leavenworth is compact: anywhere along Front Street and Commercial Street, between the Festhalle and the east end of Highway 2 through town, is a few minutes' walk from the gazebo. Places farther out, toward Icicle Road or up the Icicle valley, are a drive or a Route 32 ride away.
