DC Holiday Market Penn Quarter 2026

Gallery Place-Chinatown station (Red, Green and Yellow lines) is right on the market: Entrance A comes up at 7th and F Streets NW, at one end of the stalls, and Entrance B at 9th and G. Metrorail fares are $2.25 to $6.75 one way on weekdays and $2.25 to $2.50 on weekends, and a local bus ride is $2.25 (October 2026); you can tap a contactless card at the gates. Metrobus routes stopping within a block include the D40 at 7th and F and the D94 at G and 9th. A Capital Bikeshare dock is at 625 9th St NW.

The BID lists five garages within about two blocks of the market. None has its rate on the BID's page, and the closing times matter if you stay into the evening: the market runs to 8 or 9 pm, and two of these garages close at 7 pm and 10 pm. With a Metro station at the market's edge, transit is usually the easier choice.

The BID's own holiday list for downtown includes Frosted at Franklin Park (November 13, 2026 to January 9, 2027), the CityCenterDC holiday tree lighting on November 14, and the unveiling of the holiday windows at Macy's Metro Center on November 21. On stage nearby, Ford's Theatre plays A Christmas Carol from November 19 to December 31, and The Washington Ballet's Nutcracker is at the Warner Theatre from November 28 to December 27. The market's own grand opening is at 10 am on November 13.

Penn Quarter and Chinatown surround the market, so anywhere in those blocks is a short walk. Downtown around Metro Center and the convention center area of Mount Vernon Square are within about 10 to 15 minutes on foot, and anything on the Red, Green or Yellow lines is a direct ride to Gallery Place.
